You Can't Get Experience Without a Job.
You Can't Get the Job Without Experience.

Here's what usually happens. You apply for a job you'd actually be great at. You wait. Nothing comes back. Maybe you try again. Still nothing. The person who got that job wasn't necessarily better with animals than you. They just showed up more prepared. That's the whole difference. And it's completely fixable.

What's actually going through the hiring manager's head
💭

"I love animals." That's what every single application says. Next.

💭

No training listed. No credentials. I have no idea if this person could handle their first shift without me watching their every move.

💭

I've got 35 applications in front of me. I'm calling the ones who gave me an actual reason to stop. Everyone else goes in the pile.

The Gold Standard. Real Skills. Real Results.

A certified pet care professional confidently managing a dog day camp

"In over 20 years of reviewing resumes and hiring for pet care roles, I could tell within seconds whether a candidate was worth a call. Most weren't getting one. Not because they couldn't do the job. Because their resume gave me no reason to stop. I'll never know how many genuine gems I passed over because they just didn't know how to present themselves. That's the gap this academy exists to close."

Founder, Gold Standard Pet Academy  ·  20+ Years Hiring in Pet Care

Built by Someone Who Spent 20 Years on the Other Side of the Desk

After 20 years of looking at resumes and deciding who gets hired in pet care, the same thing kept coming up. It wasn't a shortage of people who loved animals. It was a shortage of people who knew how to show it before they ever walked in.

Tracie, Founder of Gold Standard Pet Academy

Meet Tracie

Founder, Gold Standard Pet Academy  ·  A Lifetime in Animal Care

Tracie has spent her entire life working with animals as a serious discipline, not a pastime. She trained dressage horses, bred and showed dogs, groomed and rescued both dogs and cats, and spent years rehabilitating animals so they could successfully transition into their forever homes. Every temperament, every species, every stage of life. The through-line in all of it was always the same: read the animal, earn its trust, apply structure with patience, and bring out behavior that wasn't there before.

She went on to found and operate a full-service pet hotel from scratch, building the protocols, hiring the staff, and watching firsthand which entry-level candidates made it and which ones didn't. After reviewing hundreds of applicants over more than 20 years and making those hiring calls herself, the pattern became impossible to ignore. The difference was almost never passion. It was always preparation. This academy exists to give you that preparation before you ever walk through the door.

"Most dogs are good dogs. They just need a little bit of structure. The same is true for people starting out in this industry."

Five Certificate Programs

These aren't videos you just click through. Every course actually teaches you something, tests you on it, and walks you through real examples from real workplaces. You'll finish knowing how to do the job, not just knowing about it.

👀

Here's what you're up against:

A hiring manager spends about 7 seconds on your resume before deciding to keep reading or move on. Without credentials, you look exactly like everyone else who wrote "I love animals." The ones who get the callback gave them a reason to stop. That's it.

An Investment That Pays Off Before They Graduate

If your student loves animals and wants to turn that into a real job or a stronger college application, the thing holding most of them back isn't passion or work ethic. It's the lack of any credential that shows they're actually prepared. That's exactly what this fixes.

It Strengthens Their College Application

Admissions readers notice students who pursue real professional development outside of school. A certified credential in a skilled industry signals initiative, follow-through, and the kind of genuine engagement that most extracurricular lines don't.

They Actually Earn It

This isn't a participation certificate. Every program requires passing assessments that test real knowledge. When your student finishes, they've demonstrated something. That's what makes it worth putting on an application.

It Puts Money in Their Pocket Sooner

A certified teenager is a more hireable teenager. These credentials give your student a legitimate edge over everyone else applying for the same entry-level pet care roles, and a resume that a hiring manager actually stops to read.

💬
Common Question

"But don't they need hands-on experience?"

Every pet facility trains their staff their own way — their own protocols, their own cleaning standards, their own way of handling animals. That part isn't going anywhere. What these courses do is make sure your student walks into that training with a real foundation already in place. They'll absorb the facility's methods faster, ask better questions, and start contributing from day one instead of spending the first two weeks just finding their footing. The credential gets them hired. The knowledge makes them worth keeping.

Get started at $97 $197 — the founding member rate, locked in for life. That means every update to the courses and every new certification added down the road, including specialist tracks planned for the future, is included at no extra charge. No subscription. No upcharge. Ever. Most parents in this area spend more on a single enrichment weekend. This credential follows your student for years — and grows with them as the academy does.

The Gold Standard doesn’t sell courses. It sells outcomes.

"Here’s the truth most applicants never hear: I would never know how many incredible candidates I passed over. Their resume didn’t make me stop, so I didn’t. It takes two things to get a job. The skills to do the work, and the ability to present those skills in a way that’s compelling enough for someone like me to put the pile down and pick up the phone. This academy gives you both."

Founder, Gold Standard Pet Academy  ·  20+ Years Reviewing Resumes & Hiring in Pet Care

This Is Where It Starts.

1
What if you walked into your first interview already certified? Everyone applying for the same job will say they love animals. You could be the one who proves it. That one difference is the whole game.
2
What if this opens more than one door? Pet hotel experience with real credentials is exactly what veterinary offices, animal hospitals, and specialist programs want to see. This isn't just a first job. It's the first line on a resume that takes you somewhere.
3
Still using the resume you built ten years ago? Resume standards have changed more in the last decade than in the twenty years before it. If you're applying for any role in pet care and you're still working off the same format and language you put together back then, you're being filtered out before anyone reads a word. The Resume Builder course alone is worth the enrollment. The five certifications are everything else on top of that.

Every week you wait, someone else gets certified and walks into the interview you wanted.

What the Founding Window Means

Right now, $97 gets you five complete certificate programs plus the Pet Care Resume Builder. Six courses total, yours to keep forever.

More is coming. Specialist certification tracks are already in development. Advanced courses for specific roles that will be added to the academy and sold at a higher price when they launch.

Founding members get all of it at $97. Not a discount on the new price. Your original rate, applied to everything the academy ever adds. When the founding window closes, everyone who enrolls after pays more for everything that comes after it.

One payment. Every course. Forever at this rate.

Not ready to enroll yet? That's okay. Start here for free.
